Coaching Part 1

Understanding Lifestyle Coaching (Part 1)

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be ?” ~ Marianne Williamson

We live in a world of forever increasing change bringing with it the stress and pressures that sometimes seem beyond our resources to manage. Maybe it is our deep need to display an outward strength of character that demonstrates our reluctance to show even a hint of vulnerability. The weight of this burden can at times seem to be one that would test even the powers of the great Atlas as we alone hold up our world.

But it doesn’t have to be this way… there is an answer and it is not about trying to remove all problems in our life, big or small, problems and challenges will always be there in one way or another, that is part of the fabric of life. The answer is changing how we choose to respond, can we accept change and can we accept it from within and grow from it ? We can then begin to surf the waves of change and challenge by drawing on talents and resources that maybe we never knew we had. In this process a new found confidence, strength and vigour starts to emerge, and it’s one that with patience, enables us to eventually face any wave, no matter how big.

But how do we do this ? “How do I learn to surf ?” you might ask… Well scarcity creates a viewpoint of independence… where in contrast a belief in abundance allows us to share and this is the secret to personal success. All suffering comes from scarcity, this sense of limitation manifesting as the need for self–sufficiency to survive, or if you like, a need to be completely independent, to do it all. No doubt you can and do delegate, but it is this sense of overall control and ownership that I am talking about.

Sharing brings relief from suffering, it brings about balance, a sense of resolution, strength and then joy comes into your life… even if for just one season of change it is worth investing. An introduction to an abundance viewpoint is the beginning of change from within and change from within is the reason, and in fact, the deepest desire of every one that comes to professional | personal coaching. If you are looking for that level of change in your life a coach can share the burden with you while you rediscover yourself, from within.
